On Friday 6 July 2007, NSW Treasurer, the Hon Michael Costa launched the "Hamilton Wi-Fi Project" which provides FREE wireless Internet over 8 city blocks in the Newcastle suburb of Hamilton.
"Business Hamilton has installed a wireless broadband network in Beaumont Street for the benefit of local businesses, local customers, visitors and residents," said the Chairman of Business Hamilton, Mr George Yanis.
